Design and development of a medical device and disposable products for the advancement of minimally invasive techniques (MICS) in open-heart cardiac surgery. MICS – Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery – make it possible to increase the average age of patients eligible for surgery, while reducing postoperative complications and hospital stays.
Prototype of a modular system consisting of:
Console with volumetric blood pumps and a magnetically levitated centrifugal pump.
Single-use cannulae for minimally invasive surgery.
WiFi sensor for monitoring hematological parameters during ECC (Extracorporeal Circulation).
Patient capnometer sensor and oxygenator module.
Processing, monitoring, and recording system for ECC parameters, collected from currently developed sensors as well as those under future development
Equipment with 3 different modules integrated for ECLS (Extracorporeal Life Support) applications.
